INSIDE YANGON'S GARBAGE FIRE

A stubborn fire smoldered in Yangon's Htein Bin landfill for several weeks in April 2018, sickening dozens of people in the area. A lack of long-term government planning created the conditions for the fire, and the effort to extinguish it probably made things worse.
